Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Federal Republic of Somalia strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran targeting critical energy infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

These actions constitute a grave violation of international law and threaten regional security and stability.

Somalia reaffirms its full solidarity with the Governments and peoples of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Emirates, and supports measures to protect their sovereignty and ensure the safety of their citizens and residents.

There is an urgent need for de-escalation and dialogue. As a nation along key maritime routes, Somalia underscores the importance of safeguarding energy corridors vital to global stability.

The Federal Republic of Somalia remains committed to working with regional and international partners to promote peace and protect critical energy infrastructure.
