Mogadishu,[SONNA] – Ministers and members of both Houses of Parliament from Awdal Region in the Federal Republic of Somalia issued a warning against Ethiopia’s desire to invade upon the Somali Sea. The officials expressed concern over what they termed as the “evil desire” of the Ethiopian Government to claim a portion of Somalia’s land and sea.
During the conference, the Minister and MPs commended the Federal Government of Somalia for its role in nullifying the MoU between Ethiopia and Somaliland administration and preventing any encroachment on Somali territory.
The Minister and MPs issued a call to all Somali people, particularly those in the Northern Regions, urging them to unite in defense of their land and sea. They also extended congratulations to the residents of the Northern Regions who stood against Ethiopia’s attempts to seize parts of the Somali Sea.
