Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Office of the Attorney General is handling cases related to defamation, slander, incitement, dissemination of indecent images and videos, the spread of false information, and attempts to divide society. Some individuals have already been prosecuted, while investigations into other cases are ongoing.
These cases underline the threat such acts pose to public order, social stability, personal reputation, and public trust.
The Office warns that strict legal measures will be taken against anyone found guilty of such offenses, in order to protect the dignity, reputation, and security of the Somali people.
It reiterates that upholding the law, preventing crime, and safeguarding the integrity of society are essential pillars for ensuring lasting peace and sustainable development in Somalia.
