ARUSHA, TANZANIA — Following the historic 25th Ordinary Summit of the East African Community, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Tanzania, H.E. Ilyas Ali Hassan, hosted an exclusive Iftar dinner in Arusha to celebrate Mogadishu’s expanding regional influence. The gathering honored the official swearing-in of Advocate Abdiwahid Warsame Abdullahi to the East African Court of Justice and recognized the Somali delegation’s operational success throughout the high-level summit.
The diplomatic dinner brought together the key figures driving Somalia’s regional integration strategy. Attendees included the newly appointed Justice Abdiwahid and his family, Somalia’s Liaison to the EAC Asha Hirzi, and various EAC technical officials.
