Khartoum (SONNA) – Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan received a phone call from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday.
During the telephone conversation, the two sides discussed several issues of mutual concern, including the arrangements for having Sudan removed from the US List of State Sponsors of Terrorism, and the Washington aid to Khartoum to help confront the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
They also deliberated on Sudan’s position on a draft resolution expected by the UN Security Council, along with security cooperation between the two countries and the required support for the Sudanese government during the transitional period.
