Baghdad, — H.E. Ridwan Hersi Mohamed, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Iraq, and H.E. Mohamed Ali-Nur Hagi, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to France, visited the Embassies of the Republic of Yemen in Baghdad and Paris, respectively, to sign the condolence books following the passing of former Yemeni President H.E. Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
The ambassadors conveyed the condolences of the Government and people of Somalia to the Government and people of the brotherly Republic of Yemen and expressed sympathy to the family of the late President.
They paid tribute to President Hadi’s service to his nation and reaffirmed Somalia’s solidarity with Yemen during this period of mourning.
The ambassadors also underscored the longstanding bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Somalia and Yemen, founded on shared history, mutual respect, and close people-to-people ties.
