Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Ministry of Education of the Federal Government of Somalia on Wednesday officially announced the schedule for the 2025 national final examinations for secondary school students across the country.
The ministry said secondary school students will sit for their final examinations from June 20 to June 25.
Authorities stated that nearly 40,000 secondary school students from the Federal Member States and the Benadir region are expected to participate in this year’s examinations.
Education officials noted that the national examinations remain an important step toward strengthening Somalia’s education system and ensuring standardized academic assessment nationwide.
Last year, a total of 38,471 students sat for the 2024/2025 national secondary school examinations across the country.
Separately, the Benadir Regional Directorate of Education earlier announced the dates for Grade 8 examinations in Mogadishu. According to the administration, primary school students will sit for their exams from June 15 to June 18.
