Djibouti, SONNA — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, attended the inauguration ceremony of the re-elected President of the Republic of Djibouti, H.E. Ismail Omar Guelleh, held in Djibouti City.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Ali, as part of Somalia’s official delegation attending the ceremony.
During the visit, the Somali delegation conveyed congratulations and best wishes to President Ismail Omar Guelleh and the people of Djibouti, reaffirming the longstanding brotherly relations and strategic partnership between the two neighboring countries.
The delegation also underscored Somalia’s commitment to further strengthening regional cooperation, peace, and stability across the Horn of Africa through continued collaboration with Djibouti and other regional partners.
The participation of the Somali leadership in the inauguration ceremony reflects the close diplomatic ties and shared interests between Somalia and Djibouti in promoting regional integration, security, and development.
