Mogadishu, SONNA — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held official talks with H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Muscat, as part of his official visit to the Sultanate.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation across key sectors in a manner that reinforces the longstanding partnership and shared interests between the two brotherly countries.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional developments, particularly in the Horn of Africa, underscoring the importance of coordinated regional and international efforts to promote security, stability, and sustainable development.
During the meeting, Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi reaffirmed Oman’s firm support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, emphasizing his country’s consistent position.
Oman remains firmly committed to supporting the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and we maintain our principled position of non-recognition of any entities outside the framework of the Somali state,” he stated.
For his part, Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali expressed Somalia’s appreciation for Oman’s constructive diplomatic role and its continued engagement in promoting regional stability.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides, reflecting the depth of cooperation and mutual commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
