Mogadishu (SONNA): More than 1,100 families have benefited from a food aid distribution carried out in areas under Guriceel district in the Galgaduud region.
The assistance was delivered to drought-affected households living in Cal Xasan village and surrounding communities. The relief effort, which included both food supplies and water trucking, marks the second phase of an ongoing humanitarian response targeting several areas across Galmudug, where prolonged drought has severely impacted livelihoods.
Hundreds of vulnerable families received support through this initiative, with many expressing gratitude for the timely assistance.
In recent days, intensified relief operations have been underway across Galmudug, focusing on rural communities hardest hit by the drought crisis.
