Mogadishu, SONNA — The Ambassador of the Somali Embassy in Yemen, Abdirahman Mohamed Ahmed, has arrived in the Hadramout region of Yemen, where he received a warm welcome from members of the Somali community.
During his visit, the Ambassador attended an Iftar ceremony organized by the Somali community, providing an opportunity to exchange views on the situation in the country and discuss matters concerning Somali citizens residing in Yemen.
In a brief address delivered at the gathering, Ambassador Abdirahman Mohamed Ahmed reaffirmed the embassy’s commitment to supporting Somali nationals living abroad and ensuring they have access to essential services.
We represent the Somali people, and we are ready to receive Somali citizens anywhere in order to facilitate the various services they need.”
The Ambassador also announced that the Hadramout region will soon begin issuing Somali passports and other essential documentation to members of the Somali community residing in Yemen, a move expected to ease access to vital government services.
The Iftar ceremony was organized by Ms. Suleeq Omar Ali, who works in coordinating community affairs, particularly social activities and initiatives aimed at strengthening community development.
