Mogadishu (SONNA) – Diinsoor District in Baay Region has advanced to the second round of the Ramadan Quiz Competition after defeating Marka District of Lower Shabelle Region by 8 points to 6.
The competition is broadcast nightly by Somali National News Agency and airs live on Somali National Television, as well as on Radio Mogadishu, and published on the National Magazine.
This year marks the 16th edition of the annual Ramadan Quiz Competition organized by the national media. The 2026 edition is jointly sponsored by IBS Bank and the Benadir Regional Administration.
Each year, 32 districts from across Somalia take part in the competition. The winning district is awarded trophies, cash prizes, and other honors, including certificates recognizing the academic achievement and intellectual potential of Somalia’s emerging youth.
