Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The elite Danab Special Forces of the Somali National Army (SNA), in coordination with Jubaland State security forces, today carried out a planned operation targeting Al-Shabaab militants in areas under the administration of Jamaame town in the Lower Juba region.
According to security officials, the operation resulted in the killing of 14 militants, while another was wounded. The remaining fighters fled the area during the operation.
The Ministry of Defence and the Somali National Army Command reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating Al-Shabaab militants, stressing that ongoing operations aim to ensure lasting peace and stability for the Somali people and to safeguard the overall security of the country.
Officials said such coordinated operations will continue as part of the broader campaign to dismantle the group’s presence and protect civilians across Somalia.
