Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on Tuesday evening officially closed the 27th Meeting of Finance Ministers of the Horn of Africa Initiative Forum, which was held for the first time in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital.
The President commended the Finance Ministers and senior officials from member states for their role in strengthening regional economic cooperation, promoting experience-sharing, and advancing economic stability across the Horn of Africa.
President Hassan Sheikh emphasized that hosting a high-level regional meeting of this magnitude reflects Somalia’s recovery and growing international confidence in the country. He noted that Somalia’s current chairmanship of the forum presents a vital opportunity to deepen regional collaboration and advance shared economic interests among member states.
