Islamabad(SONNA)-A high-level delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia, led by H.E. Ali Yusuf Hosh, Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, has arrived in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for an official working visit aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
The delegation includes the Commissioner for Disaster Management, Mr. Mahamuud Moallim, and other senior officials. During the visit, the Somali delegation is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with Pakistani counterparts to discuss cooperation in key areas, including disaster management, internal security, and institutional experience-sharing.
The discussions are expected to focus on Pakistan’s expertise in disaster preparedness and response, security sector coordination, and public administration, with the aim of strengthening Somalia’s national institutions and resilience. Pakistan has consistently expressed its support for Somalia’s peacebuilding and state-building efforts, and this visit underscores the growing partnership between the two countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and fostering long-term collaboration that contributes to stability, development, and mutual benefit for the peoples of Somalia and Pakistan.
