Mogadishu – The Cabinet of the Federal Government of Somalia, acting on the recommendation of the President H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, have extended an official invitation to the Somali Future Council.
In line with ongoing efforts to strengthen national unity and cohesion, promote a consultative and consensus-based democratic process, and in reference to Article 6 of the Somali Future Council’s declaration, the government announced the launch of a National Consultative Forum scheduled to open on February 1, 2026, in Mogadishu.
The government has appointed a ministerial committee to organize the forum, led by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, H.E. Hassan Moallin Mahmoud Sheikh Ali. The Somali Future Council has been called upon to nominate its representatives to jointly coordinate preparations, refine the agenda, and ensure the consultative forum delivers meaningful and constructive outcomes.
