Mogadishu(SONNA)-Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moalim Fiqi and Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Somalia, E.H. Ali Yusuf Ali on Saturday cut the ribbon of Sabiid and Anole bridge in lower Shabelle region after it was reconstructed recently.
Officials from the Somali National Army, African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) and Turkey Government attended the opening of the bridge, saying that such infrastructure would boost the economy, security and movement of the people in the region. Al-Shabaab terrorists destroyed this bridge earlier this year, and it’s rebuilding is part of government’s commitment to restore the infrastructure and connection of the region.
