Mogadishu, SONNA — The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Somalia, Justice Bashe Yusuf Ahmed, this morning inaugurated the Somali Judges Forum Conference in Mogadishu, marking another step in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s judicial systems.
Held every three months, the conference brings together judicial leaders to discuss the needs of judges across the country, ongoing challenges, and the progress made in advancing the judiciary. The forum serves as a key platform for shaping reforms, improving court operations, and reinforcing the independence and effectiveness of the justice sector.
Participants include the chairmen of the Regional and Appeal Courts of the Banadir Region, representatives from the judiciaries of Federal Member States, and judges from various levels nationwide.
The conference is expected to conclude with actionable recommendations aimed at further enhancing judicial performance and access to justice across Somalia.
