Jowhar, (SONNA) – The President of Hirshabelle State of Somalia, H.E. Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlaawe), has appointed Dr. Hassan Cadaay Ali as the new State Minister of the Ministry of Interior and Local Governments.
Dr. Hassan previously served in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, where he played a key role in public health initiatives and intergovernmental coordination. He also contested for a Senate seat in the 2021 elections for the Upper House of the Federal Parliament.
His appointment is viewed as part of the Hirshabelle government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance structures and enhance cooperation between state and local administrations. Dr. Hassan is expected to play a leading role in promoting transparency, good governance, and community-centered public services.
President Ali Guudlaawe’s administration has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating internal administrative reforms and improving coordination with local governments as part of its broader vision for effective governance and institutional development.
