BERLIN, GERMANY – Somalia’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Major General Bashir Mohamed Jama, held a bilateral meeting today with the State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office, Dr. Géza Andreas von Geyr. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Berlin Climate and Security Conference (#BCSC2025).
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between Somalia and Germany in addressing climate change. The ministers specifically explored collaborative strategies for building community resilience and achieving sustainable development in Somalia.
