Doha, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held an important meeting today with the Emir of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Qatari Royal Palace.
During the meeting, President Hassan Sheikh reaffirmed the Somali people and government’s solidarity with their Qatari brothers and underscored that Somalia will never accept any infringement upon Qatar’s sovereignty, dignity, or security.
For his part, Emir Tamim expressed gratitude to the Somali President for the solidarity and fraternal support shown by the Somali people and government. He also emphasized the importance of the deep-rooted relations and cooperation between the two countries.
