ALGIERS – Somalia’s Ambassador to Algeria, Yusuf Ahmed Hassan, also known as Yusuf Jeego, held a significant meeting in Algiers with the President of the Algerian Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri. The key purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the long-standing bilateral relationship between Somalia and Algeria.
A major outcome of the discussion was the agreement to establish a joint parliamentary friendship committee. This committee will be dedicated to fostering closer cooperation, facilitating training programs, and promoting the exchange of expertise between the two nations’ legislative bodies.
The meeting is part of a broader effort to enhance collaboration across various sectors, including education, security, and trade, reflecting a renewed commitment to diplomatic relations between Somalia and Algeria.
