Mogadishu, (SONNA) — A significant meeting focusing on security, community integration, and the role of the Somali Police Force was held in the Dharkenlay district of Banadir. Organized by the Community Relations Office of the Somali Police, the event was led by the Director, Colonel Qaali Axmad Caddaan.
Various officials from security agencies and the Banadir regional administration participated in the discussions, emphasizing the importance of raising public awareness and the community’s role in combating insecurity.
The spokesperson for the Somali Police, Colonel Cabdifitaax Aadan Xasan, highlighted the crucial role of Somali women in enhancing security efforts, stating, “The Somali Police Force considers the encouragement of women essential for addressing security issues.”
Additionally, Dharkenlay District Mayor Cumar Meyre remarked on the district’s relative stability and the collaborative efforts between the community and police in maintaining security. He expressed gratitude to all security branches, particularly acknowledging the Somali Police’s leading role in these efforts.
This meeting was significantly supported by the Banadir regional administration and local leadership in the western parts of the Banadir region. It is part of a series of ongoing meetings intended to engage all districts within the region.
