Hiran (SONNA) – Somali National Army, in coordination with security partners, carried out a major overnight operation in the Tardo area of Hiiraan region, inflicting heavy losses on the Kharijites militants.
The targeted strike hit a significant terrorist gathering point and destroyed several combat vehicles used by the group. Security officials confirmed that the site had served as an important operational base for the Kharijites, from which they had long inflicted suffering on local communities.
Authorities hailed the operation as a key step in weakening the group’s presence in the region and reaffirmed the government’s determination to eradicate the Kharijites threat across Somalia.
