Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Omer Hadliye, received the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Somalia, H.E. Pier Mario Daccò Coppi, for a high-level meeting in Mogadishu on Saturday. The discussion focused on advancing key aspects of the longstanding bilateral relationship between the two friendly nations.
The talks emphasized the importance of preserving the deep-rooted historical ties between Somalia and Italy, while deepening cooperation in vital sectors such as development, education, and security. Both sides also reiterated their commitment to strengthening diplomatic engagement and pursuing shared interests.
The meeting explored ways to enhance joint efforts in support of Somalia’s growth and stability, with both the Minister and the Ambassador reaffirming their governments’ dedication to promoting inclusive partnerships for sustainable progress.
