Mogadishu, Saturday, 19 July 2025 — Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, today received the Arab League Special Envoy to Somalia, H.E. Abdalla Al-Otaibi, at his office in Mogadishu. The two officials held key discussions on enhancing cooperation among Arab League member states, particularly in the areas of politics, economic development, and security.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Hamza briefed the Ambassador on Somalia’s progress in economic recovery, political reform, and security stabilization. He expressed gratitude for the Arab League’s continued support and constructive engagement with both the Somali government and its people.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Otaibi announced that a high-level delegation from the Arab League is expected to visit Somalia in the near future to initiate development projects. He also praised Somalia’s growing role in advancing cooperation among Arab League member countries.
The meeting highlighted the importance of deepening multilateral partnerships to support Somalia’s ongoing recovery and its reintegration into regional and international forums.
