Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Federal Republic of Somalia extends its sincere congratulations to the Governments and peoples of the Friendly Republic of Malawi and the brotherly Union of the Comoros on the respective occasions of their national independence anniversaries.
In a statement issued today, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Malawi on its 61st Independence Day, commending the nation for marking this historic chapter with pride and unity. He noted Somalia’s appreciation for the cordial bilateral ties with Malawi and expressed hope for deeper cooperation rooted in shared interests and mutual commitment.
Similarly, the Foreign Minister extended warm congratulations to Comoros as it celebrates its 50th year of independence. He acknowledged the country’s enduring legacy of unity, sovereignty, and peaceful progress, affirming Somalia’s commitment to strengthening relations grounded in regional solidarity and shared aspirations.
“As both Malawi and Comoros honor their national milestones, Somalia stands in friendship and shared purpose, wishing their peoples continued peace, prosperity, and progress,” the Minister said.
