Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, held a consultative meeting at his office with the leadership of registered political associations actively engaged in Somalia’s democratic transition and multiparty system development.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed his government’s strong commitment to enhancing collaboration between the federal administration and political stakeholders, accelerating the implementation of one-person, one-vote elections, and establishing a transparent, accountable, and citizen-driven political framework.
He emphasized that the government places high priority on delivering inclusive elections and advancing the national electoral roadmap, ensuring that all Somali citizens have an equal opportunity to shape the country’s future.
Prime Minister Barre commended the vital role political associations play in promoting democratic values and reinforcing accountability. He assured them of the government’s full readiness to work collaboratively with all political actors to strengthen Somalia’s political foundations.
He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to advancing national dialogue as a cornerstone of the political process, welcoming diverse perspectives in shaping Somalia’s political future.
