Makkah, (SONNA) — The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mukhtar Robow Ali, has announced that Somali language has been included among the languages into which sermons during the Hajj days will be translated by Saudi authorities.
Speaking to Somali Hajj service companies in the holy city of Makkah, Minister Robow underscored the vital importance of this development, noting that it will enable Somali pilgrims to fully understand the religious guidance delivered during one of Islam’s most sacred rites.
He emphasized that Hajj is a spiritual obligation that must be conducted with respect, patience, and high-quality service. The minister urged Somali companies to prioritize the safety and care of pilgrims, adhere strictly to transport schedules, and contribute to maintaining Somalia’s positive reputation.
Dr. Khadar Dahir Suleiman, a senior representative of one of the Somali Hajj companies, stated that operational plans are being strengthened, including transportation logistics between Makkah, Mina, and Arafat, crowd control, and coordination with Saudi authorities. He also noted the implementation of a new electronic system this year and stressed that performance evaluation mechanisms are being introduced to address past complaints and enhance overall service delivery.
