Paris, (SONNA) — The Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Hussein Mohamed, along with a delegation from the ministry, attended the 92nd General Session of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), held in Paris.
The high-level summit focused on strengthening international cooperation in animal health, particularly in disease prevention, control, and tackling emerging threats.
Addressing a ministerial panel, Minister Hassan emphasized the vital role of livestock in Somalia’s economy and called for enhanced collaboration in disease surveillance, vaccine accessibility, and veterinary services.
He reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to working with global partners to build resilient systems that support livestock trade, pastoralist livelihoods, and sustainable development.
