Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Somali Police Force Commander, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, today officially opened newly expanded facilities at the Madina Police Hospital. The inauguration ceremony marked the completion of new buildings for the hospital’s Laboratory, Medicine Storage, and a new Solar Power Plant.
These significant additions to the hospital, along with other facilities belonging to the Police Force, were commissioned by Commander Abdullahi after he identified an urgent need for enhanced infrastructure. The expansion project is described as a collaborative effort designed to meet existing demands and improve the services provided.
The Madina Police Hospital serves as a crucial healthcare facility for police personnel and, in many cases, the broader community. The addition of a state-of-the-art laboratory is expected to significantly enhance diagnostic capabilities, while the expanded medicine storage will ensure better availability and proper preservation of essential medical supplies. The installation of a solar power plant represents a step towards sustainable energy use, ensuring a reliable power supply for critical hospital operations and reducing operational costs.
This expansion initiative reflects the Somali Police Force’s commitment to improving the welfare and operational capacity of its personnel, ultimately contributing to better public safety and security in Somalia.
