Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Somalia, H.E. Fadli Ali Ahmed, for discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The talks focused on enhancing diplomatic relations, addressing the situation of Yemeni refugees and diaspora communities in Somalia, and expanding mutual support in light of the ongoing humanitarian challenges in Yemen.
Somalia and Yemen share deep-rooted historical ties spanning culture, trade, and people-to-people relations. These longstanding bonds continue to serve as a foundation for advancing shared interests and regional solidarity between the two brotherly nations.
