Nairobi, (SONNA) — The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Kenya, H.E. Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, welcomed the Deputy Chair of the Somali Olympic Committee, Duran Ahmed Farah, during a courtesy visit to the Somali Embassy in Nairobi.
The two officials discussed ways to strengthen the development of sports in Somalia and how best to support young athletes who are raising the country’s profile internationally. Ambassador Jabril briefed Mr. Duran on his recent motivational meeting with Somali youth athletes training in Eldoret, Kenya, highlighting their pressing needs and the embassy’s ongoing commitment to their welfare.
Deputy Chair Duran praised Ambassador Jabril and the Somali diplomatic team for going beyond traditional diplomatic duties by actively supporting the Somali community in Kenya, particularly youth engaged in sports development.
