Jakarta (SONNA) – Dr. Faisal Ahmed Salad, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Somalia to Indonesia, has presented his credentials to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
The ceremony, held in Jakarta, marked a swift and positive start to Ambassador Salad’s tenure. Notably, he became the first ambassador to be accepted within a week of his arrival in Indonesia, a gesture he highlighted as a prove to the robust and rapidly strengthening diplomatic relations between Somalia and Indonesia.
During the presentation, Ambassador Salad expressed his gratitude to President Prabowo and the Indonesian government for the warm and high-level reception he received. He conveyed sincere greetings from the President of the Republic of Somalia, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and pledged his unwavering commitment to deepening and expanding the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
“This prompt acceptance of my credentials signifies the importance both our countries place on our diplomatic ties,” Ambassador Salad stated. “I am honored to serve as Somalia’s representative and look forward to fostering greater cooperation across various sectors.”
The swift acceptance of Ambassador Salad’s credentials is seen as a positive indicator of Indonesia’s willingness to engage more closely with Somalia and strengthen diplomatic and potentially economic ties. This development is expected to pave the way for increased collaboration in areas of mutual interest, further solidifying the bond between the two countries.
