Mogadishu, SONNA – Federal Government forces successfully repelled a dawn attack by Khawarij militants in the Wargaadhi area, eliminating the assailants in a decisive counteroperation. The bodies of the attackers were left scattered across the area, marking a significant blow to the extremist group.
Abdirahman Yusuf Al-Adaala, the Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism of the Federal Government, confirmed the operation, stating, “The bodies of the Khawarij are scattered in the Wargaadhi area. God willing, there will be no Khawarij in this country in the future—their efforts will be in vain.”
The attack, launched by the Khawarij was met with strong resistance from government troops, who defended their positions and neutralized the threat. The swift response shows the government’s continued efforts to combat terrorism and restore stability in the region.
