Laascaanood, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, officially laid the foundation stone for eight major development projects in Laascaanood today. These projects, initiated by the Federal Government, are aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public services across the SSC-Khaatumo administration.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Hamza emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering essential services to all Somali citizens, particularly in areas long affected by instability and neglect. He noted that the projects will strengthen ties between the government and the people, promote economic growth, and lay the groundwork for lasting development.
The newly launched projects include:
- Headquarters of the SSC-Khaatumo Administration
- Immigration and National ID Center – Laascaanood Branch
- SSC-Khaatumo Police Headquarters
- Sayid Mohamed Technical and Vocational Training Center
- Paved road connecting Samakaab and Buuhoodle
- Various government administrative offices for SSC-Khaatumo
- National Emergency Response Center (SODMA)
- SSC-Khaatumo State House Hospital
Prime Minister Hamza expressed his delight in launching these vital projects, describing them as a major milestone in delivering key government services to the region. He also pledged that additional projects will follow as part of the government’s broader plan for inclusive national development.
