Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Ministry of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia reported a series of successful airstrikes and direct combat operations carried out by the Somali National Army (SNA) in coordination with brave local forces against extremist militias.
The operations targeted militant strongholds across three key regions, including airstrikes and ground attacks in Awdhegle and Donka in Lower Shabelle, operations in Boos-Hareeri, Sumadaale, and Laba Garas in Middle Shabelle, and strikes in El-Bur and other areas in the Galgaduud region.
Abubakar Mohamed praised the efforts of both the Somali National Army and local forces, highlighting their critical role in dismantling the insurgents, who have been responsible for the deaths of many innocent civilians.
