Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Health and Social Care of the Federal Government of Somalia, Dr. Ali Haji Adan officially opened the Annual Health Review Conference today, which will run for three days.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Health Mohamed Hassan Bullaale, the Minister of Health for Hirshabelle Saadaq Maxamed Xuseen, and other key figures including the Director General of the Federal Ministry of Health Guuleed Cabdijaliil, and health officials from the Banaadir region. Representatives from international health organizations, the World Bank, and GFF were also present.
This marks the first conference of its kind, focusing on evaluating the current healthcare situation in Somalia. Participants will discuss existing challenges and seek sustainable solutions while aligning with the National Transition Plan (NTP) to ensure comprehensive healthcare accessible in every region.
The conference aims to foster collaboration among federal and regional health authorities, paving the way for improvements in the Somali healthcare system.
