Dushanbe, (SONNA) – The Non-resident Somali Ambassador to Tajikistan, Fathudin Ali Mohamed, who serves as a non-resident envoy, held an important meeting with Tajikistan’s Minister of Education and Science, Rahim Saidzoda, in the capital, Dushanbe. The two officials discussed avenues for strengthening educational cooperation between their respective countries.

Minister Saidzoda welcomed Ambassador Mohamed to the Republic of Tajikistan and highlighted the positive relationship between the two nations. He emphasized that expanding collaboration in education and science would further solidify their ties.

Ambassador Mohamed expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations with Tajikistan, particularly in the fields of education and scientific research.

During the meeting, discussions covered a range of topics, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan and Somalia’s Ministry of Education. The agreement aims to facilitate educational exchange programs and cooperation.

Additionally, the officials explored opportunities for Somali students to pursue higher education in Tajikistan, particularly in fields such as medicine, geology, engineering, and renewable energy. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of enhancing academic and scientific collaboration between the two nations.
