Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Minister of Family and Human Rights Development, Ambassador Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia for renewing the mandate of the National Disability Commission. The decision, approved by the Cabinet, marks a significant step forward for the Ministry of Family and Human Rights Development.
“I would like to thank the members of the Cabinet, led by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, for the renewal of the National Disability Commission,” said Minister Amb Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi.
In her closing remarks, Minister Al-Makhzoumi congratulated the members of the Authority and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to empowering individuals with special needs. “As a Ministry, we are dedicated to significantly enhancing the role of people with special needs at the decision-making table for the future of the Somali nation by strengthening and supporting the National Disability Authority,” she stated.
The renewal of the National Disability Commission shows the government’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and ensure that all citizens, regardless of their abilities, have a voice in shaping the nation’s destiny.
