Nairobi, SONNA — Somalia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, made a brief but significant stopover in Nairobi on his return from Cairo, Egypt. While at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), the Somali diplomat held important discussions with Kenya’s Deputy President, Professor Kithure Kindiki.
The meeting underscored both nations’ commitment to strengthening their bilateral relations and advancing regional cooperation. Ambassador Fiqi’s diplomatic engagement reflects Somalia’s proactive approach to promoting peace, collaboration, and mutual progress within the East African region.
The talks are part of ongoing efforts to deepen ties and enhance collaboration between the two countries, which have historically shared strong diplomatic and trade relations.
