Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, has praised the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) for its dedicated efforts in addressing the impact of droughts and floods across the country. This came during his official visit to SoDMA’s central headquarters, where he reviewed ongoing operations.
During the visit, SoDMA Chairman Mahamud Moallim Abdulle welcomed the Minister and provided a comprehensive briefing on the agency’s achievements in disaster management. The Chairman highlighted the progress made by SoDMA in its mission to mitigate the effects of natural disasters since its inception.
The discussions also covered the current drought situation, ongoing humanitarian relief efforts, and collaborative plans to strengthen disaster response initiatives. Minister Ali Hosh expressed his appreciation for SoDMA’s work and urged the agency’s staff to accelerate efforts in managing the country’s disaster challenges.
