Mogadishu, SONNA:-His Excellency Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on Monday welcomed His Excellency Ammar Ahmed Babiker, Acting Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The meeting highlighted the longstanding and fraternal ties between Somalia and Sudan, exploring avenues to further enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination across all sectors.
Discussions also covered regional and international developments of mutual concern, focusing on the situation in Sudan. Minister Fiqi reaffirmed Somalia’s unwavering solidarity with the Sudanese people, underscoring the importance of preserving Sudan’s unity and safeguarding its national institutions.
