Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Salah Ahmed Jama opened the Somali Internet Governance (Somali IGF) Forum which was organised by the Ministry of Communications and Technology in Mogadishu.
The forum focuses on collaboration, combating misinformation, and empowering youth to build a secure and inclusive digital future.
“Today, I launched the Somali Internet Governance Forum (Somali IGF), organised by Communications Ministry, marking a key step towards shaping Somalia’s digital future through dialogue, collaboration, and actionable policies aimed at combating online misinformation, protecting freedom of speech, and empowering youth and civil society to create a secure and inclusive internet ecosystem,” Mr. Salah said.
