Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud has on Monday received Acting UNSRSG James Swan at the Presidential Palace today. The discussion focused on UNSOM‘s transition and the critical role of the United Nations in Somalia’s stabilization efforts.
The President reiterated Somalia’s commitment to working closely with international partners, ensuring a smooth transition, and enhancing security through coordinated support.
He also emphasized the importance of consolidating progress in line with Somalia’s long-term security and development goals, as well as the country’s active role in the global community as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
