Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Salah Ahmed Jama launched the National Stabilization Coordination Meeting in Mogadishu today to reflect on our achievements and lessons learned in the stabilization program, to improve and expedite resources for the previously liberated areas, and as our gallant security forces keep new recovered territories in the new fronts, reach more communities.
Reflecting on the progress made so far compared to the situation these communities were in just two years ago, “I am proud to see children in towns like Moqokori, Xarar Dheere, and Aadan Yabaal, among many other liberated communities, attending schools for the first time in a generation, women starting new small businesses, and members of the diaspora returning to invest, creating a thriving ecosystem,” Mr. Salah said.
As we make considerable progress in stabilizing the liberated areas in Hirshabelle and Galmudug, the next phase of operations is taking shape in new states such as Jubbaland. Our gallant security forces are inflicting significant losses on the enemy, and as their operations yield results, other government institutions will step in to provide vital services and restore governance and the rule of law in these communities.
