Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud opened the National Consultative Council meeting in Mogadishu.
The agenda of the meeting includes combating terrorism to ensure a stable and peaceful Somalia that is in harmony internally and externally.
The meeting will also address the finalisation of Somalia’s constitution which is a vital step in the country’s state-building efforts.
The attendees included the Prime Minister , Hamza Abdi Barre and his Deputy Salah Ahmed Jama, Presidents of Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Kaariye (Qoorqoor), Jubbaland, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, Southwest, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), Hirshabelle, Ali Guudlawe Hussein, and Governor of Banadir Yusuf Hussein Jim’ale (Madale).
The Government is committed to implementing critical national priorities such as completing the constitution, ensuring security, and combating terrorism.
