Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi today visited the new headquarters of the National Independent Electoral Commission where he was recieved by the Secretary General Abdirizak Bashir Mohamed.
Minister Fiqi then briefed staff on ongoing reviews of the laws governing elections.
He further stated that the National Independent Electoral Commission will soon be appointed, and instructed staff to prepare for a large scale operation to implement free and fair elections in which the people of Somalia cast their votes.
