Geneva(SONNA)-Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Mr. Martin Chungong on Wednesday evening held a meeting with Marwa Abdi Bashir, a member of the Somali Federal Parliament who is running for the presidency of the IPU later this month in Geneva, Switzerland.
The two officials discussed issues regarding future cooperation and the Election of the Inter-Parliamentary Union which is expected to take place in Angola, in October this month.
Mr. Chungong gave a briefing to the Somali Candidate, Marwo about the latest preparations and plans for the Parliament’s election this month. Candidatate from Tanzania, Malawi, and Senegal are also in the race to be the next President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union
