Somali Police Commissioner and Delegation Attend 46th Anniversary Celebration of Djibouti Police Force

Djibouti City – Today, General Sulub Ahmed Firin, the Commissioner of the Somali Police Force, along with a high-level delegation, participated in the grand ceremony commemorating the 46th anniversary of the establishment of the Police Force of the Republic of Djibouti. The event, held in Djibouti City, marked a significant milestone in the close cooperation between the two nations in the field of law enforcement.

The festivities commenced with an impressive display of honor guards and ceremonial activities, paying tribute to the founding of the Djibouti Police Force in 1979. Representatives from various international organizations, government officials, and esteemed guests were present to witness this special occasion.

General Sulub Ahmed Firin, known for his exemplary leadership and commitment to enhancing security and justice in Somalia, led the Somali delegation. As a symbol of mutual respect and collaboration, the Commissioner’s presence demonstrated the deep ties and shared goals between the Somali and Djiboutian police forces.

Following the anniversary celebration, the Somali Police Commissioner and his delegation engaged in a crucial meeting with regional police chiefs. This gathering provided an opportunity to exchange valuable insights, share best practices, and strengthen partnerships in combating transnational crimes and ensuring regional security.

The meeting, attended by esteemed law enforcement representatives from various countries, fostered dialogue on pressing security challenges faced by the region. Discussions revolved around intelligence sharing, joint operations, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at tackling organized crime, terrorism, and cross-border threats.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of collaboration and emphasized that regional cooperation is vital for effectively addressing the complex security landscape in the Horn of Africa. He reiterated Somalia’s commitment to working hand in hand with its neighboring nations to enhance law enforcement capabilities, promote stability, and create a secure environment for the prosperity of the region.

The event served as a platform for networking, building relationships, and strengthening the bonds of trust and cooperation between the Somali Police Force and their counterparts from the African region. Such interactions pave the way for future joint initiatives, partnerships, and coordinated efforts in achieving shared security objectives.

As the anniversary celebration and meeting concluded, General Sulub Ahmed Firin expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Djibouti for their warm hospitality and the opportunity to participate in this significant event. He reiterated Somalia’s unwavering commitment to regional security and affirmed the Somali Police Force’s determination to work collaboratively with neighboring countries to combat crime, ensure peace, and uphold the rule of law.

The participation of the Somali Police Commissioner and his delegation in the 46th anniversary celebration of the Djibouti Police Force further solidified the ties between the two nations and highlighted their shared dedication to maintaining security and fostering regional stability.
